​Election Day - May 7, 2024

7:00am - 8:00pm at the Township Hall

Three local issues on the Ballot:

  • Ambulance Service Millage Renewal​
     This is a 1 mill request to renew and restore the existing .9208 mill, rolled back by Headlee, Ambulance millage.  This revenue is used to pay the Township’s financial obligations to SHAES.  All the participating municipalities pay an equitable contribution into SHAES based on population.  This revenue has been used to operate the Ambulance service since 1995.
  • Senior Services Millage Proposal
    ​ This is a .25 mill request to provide funds for senior services specifically to pay Senior Services of VanBuren County, Inc.  This will allow Casco seniors to use all the facilities in VanBuren County Including the South Haven Senior Center.  Local programing and all Allegan County services will continue as they currently exist. 
  • Police Protection Millage Renewal Proposition
    Police Protection Millage Renewal Proposition - This is a .65 mill to renew and restore the existing .6329 mill, rolled back by Headlee, Police millage.  This revenue is used to fund the contract with Allegan County Sheriff’s Department to provide Casco with a dedicated 40 hour per week deputy and vehicle.

Casco Township Senior Appreciation Luncheon - Reservation Required - Reservations are being accepted for the Casco Township Senior Appreciation Luncheon. The luncheon will be held at the Casco United Methodist Church109th Ave. and 66th St. on
May 8th at noon. It will be catered by Taste of South Haven.

Special Dementia Friends Program with a Pizza Lunch
April 26 at 12:30 pm before Bingo
We have over 6 million people with dementia in the US with numbers increasing each day. This short 50 minute program will provide some insight to what life is like for these individuals. It provides suggestions for how to best communicate with those suffering with dementia. Even if you do not have a family member or friend with dementia, rapid increases in numbers make it likely that you will at some point. Come enjoy some pizza before Bingo as you learn how to best help these individuals make the most of their lives.
