Casco Seniors Exercise Class - Balance & Strength

Mondays & Thursdays 10:00am

These classes at the township hall, attended by men and women, are for balance and strength. The rigor of the class is nicely balanced by the fellowship over coffee when exercise concludes. 

Note: February 19th, 22nd, and 26th will be held in the heated garage.


Cardio Drumming 

Fridays at 10:15am

Sign up and joins us for a fun way to workout to music with drum sticks and an exercise ball. Give it a try. It is a platform for socialization and fitness and builds sensory motor reflexes. All equipment provided - just bring a smile and be ready to have some fun while you exercise. Follow along or do your own thing to the music - keep moving is key. At the township hall.

Tuesdays 12:30 - 3:00 
Join others for a game of cards at the Township Hall. Board games, card games, puzzles...organized around card tables in the Casco Township Hall. Newcomers are welcome. Sponsored by Casco Senior Services.​​​​​

Note: No cards on February 27th due to the election.

We could use some fresh books and puzzles in the self-service lending library in the Senior Services office. White elephant and other unneeded items are welcome contributions as Bingo prizes.

Reservations are being accepted for the free Casco Township Senior Appreciation Luncheon. The luncheon will be held at the Casco United Methodist Church 109th Ave and 66th St. on May 8th at noon. It will be catered by Taste of South Haven.

Special Dementia Friends Program with a Pizza Lunch - April 26 at 12:30 pm before Bingo
We have over 6 million people with dementia in the US with numbers increasing each day. This short 50 minute program will provide some insight to what life is like for these individuals. It provides suggestions for how to best communicate with those suffering with dementia. Even if you do not have a family member or friend with dementia, rapid increases in numbers make it likely that you will at some point. Come enjoy some pizza before Bingo as you learn how to best help these individuals make the most of their lives. Call Mary at 610-316-3550 to reserve a spot and ensure that we buy enough pizza for everyone. Click for more info.

May 14th & May 16th at 11 a.m. 
Pickleball is the latest senior exercise craze. It is fun and social with simple rules. We have all the equipment you need to try it out during the class and Carol and Bernie can advise you on where to purchase equipment if you want to try it on your own.


Support for Homebound
​Casco Seniors

Casco Township Residents who are homebound, 60 years old or older and in need of support may be eligible for support to help them continue to live independently in their home. There are no income qualifications as these services are provided by millage dollars. Call Mary at 610-316-3550 to learn more about what is available: 

  • Home Delivered Meals – Monday thru Friday 

  • Essential In-Home Support Visits & Personal Emergency Response Device 

  • Transportation for medical and legal appointments, shopping, and errands 

  • Adult Day Care for seniors in need of continuous support – currently there is
    ​a wait list ​

Fire regulations limit attendance to 151. We will have to place names on a wait list after the first 151 registrations. You can make your reservation by calling or texting Mary at 610-316-3550. Please specify the names of those you are registering and indicate if you want your reservation confirmation sent by text or e-mail (specify the cell number if you want a text confirmation or clearly spell the email address if that is your preference.) If you make a reservation and find you cannot attend, please contact Mary at the number above so she can contact individuals on the wait list.
