​​Casco Seniors Exercise Class

These classes at the township hall, attended by men and women, are for balance and strength. The rigor of the class is nicely balanced by the fellowship over coffee when exercise concludes.

Cardio Drumming 

Beginning January 6th - Fridays at 8am

Sign up and joins us for a fun way to workout to music with drum sticks and an exercise ball. Give it a try. It is a platform for socialization and fitness and builds sensory motor refelexes. All equipment provided - just bring a smile and be ready to have some fun while you exercise. Follow along or do your own thing to the music - keep moving is key. At the township hall.

Join others for a game of cards at the Township Hall. Board games, card games, puzzles...organized around card tables in the Casco Township Hall. Newcomers are welcome. Sponsored by Casco Senior Services.​​​​​Tuesdays 12:30 - 3:00

Felt Birdsled by Mary Tobin, you will make a cure felt bird perfect as a package decoration or tree ornament, and enjoy lunch after with your classmates. December 2, 12 noon - 1:30pm


Giftable Vase or Votive Light followed by lunch. December 9, 12 noon - 1:30pm


Doodle Art with practical take away examples (similar to Zentangle) followed by lunch. December 12, 12 noon - 1:30pm


Cute Pine Cone Tree decorate for your home or gifts. December 16, 12 noon - 1:30pm


Potluck Luncheon and Quick Craft Projectto create a cute Snowman Soup Hot Chocolate Cups for Nursing Home Residents. Bring a dish to share. December 19, 12 noon - 1:30pm


Presentations

Information sessions followed by lunch -  please register (RSVP) so we have adequate food for everyone. 


Officer Cano, our Casco Deputy: Over 40 residents attended Deputy Cano’s first presentation on senior safety. On Monday, November 28 he will present the second in this series of presentations on senior safety. It will be at noon in the Township Hall and will be followed by a lunch of Sloppy Joes, chips, and other snacks. Please RSVP if you plan to attend to ensure we have adequate food for all.

2023 will include  sessions on exploring hidden gems in Casco, help with technology and email, a session about saving and sharing your personal memories to share with family members. We will also have a Spring Luncheon, and Whiteford Wealth Management will provide basic tax assistance during tax time.

Senior Transportation Program

Allegan County Senior Transportation Program provides transportation for essential services, such as medical appointments, COVID-19 vaccination appointments, legal appointments, grocery shopping, prescription pick-ups, and more. Services available in and outside the county.

Casco Township Seniors (age 60+) and persons who care about seniors are invited to call our Casco Senior Care Program Staff and find out about available programs and services. You may also email the Staff at: Seniors@CascoTownship.org.

Programs available to Casco Township seniors include home visits, exercise, educational programs, and Casco Senior Luncheons. The Casco Senior Care Program is funded by a .25 millage.​
