PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Commission of Casco Township will conduct a public hearing and regular meeting concerning the following matter on Wednesday July 15, 2020 at 6:00pm at the Casco Township Hall, 7104 107th Ave, South Haven, MI 49090, within the Township.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE this meeting will be held electronically pursuant to the Open Meetings Act and Governor Whitmer's Executive Order. The public may participate in the meeting electronically and may make public comment: Homepage will have the Zoom link and specific log in information, or call Zoning Administrator, 1-800-626-5964 for information.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the item(s) to be consiidered at said public hearing include the following:

  1. Zoning Ordinance amendment to add to Section 2.08 G Definitions; glare; 2.15 N Nuisance
  2. to amend Section 3.29A4 Rental of single family dwellings, add "and have a setback of 25' from a property line";
  3. to amend Section 3.30 Excavations add A. in part... to protect properties from drainage and water run off of adjacent properties.
  4. to amend Section 15.03D, Special Use, Bed and Breakfast, update the provisions

SHAWSA (South Haven Area Water and Sewer Authority) is pleased to announce that at the April 28th meeting it was decided to reduce the Monthly Township debt retirement portion of Water and Sewer bills for Casco Township customers from $60 per month to $30 per month.  The Authority had
been tracking growth for a number of years and recently Casco's growth has exceeded projections.  In addition, the majority of the debt was refinanced resulting in significant interest savings. These changes will take effect July 1st 2020.



Until further notice, the steps at the park will be closed due to the high lake level, recent winds, and wave action.


The Allegan County Legal Assistance Center provides and supports committed volunteers to educate litigants with the appropriate legal processes and procedures, offer access to proper tools, and assist with paperwork, thereby, more effectively accomplishing justice for all.

Casco Seniors Weekly Classes
Exercise Class - Now available - Mondays & Thursdays, 10am, with a mask and socially distanced. These classes, attended by men and women, are for balance and strength. Led by Athletic Trainer Susan Katt​

​Cards - Tuesdays, 12:30 - 3:00pm  Cancelled until further notice - Join others for a game of cards at the Township Hall. At the Casco Township Hall, with coffee and refreshments. Newcomers are welcome.

​Breathing with Barry! - Wednesdays 11:00 - 12:00  Cancelled until further notice - Join us for our newest class that will help keep your lungs strong as Barry, takes the group through a series of breathing exercises.​​

Township Offices are now open on a limited basis. If you can conduct business by phone or email, that is still preferable. The Zoning Administrator and Building Inspector have resumed their hours at the hall. See Hours.

Short-Term Rentals Governor Whitmer has lifted the restrictions on Short-Term Renting. Renting is now allowed. If you are an owner and haven't registered for the year, the deadline for registering was June 16th.

Senior Programs Exercise Classes are happening in a socially distanced way at the Hall on Mondays & Thursdays at 10am. No social time following class.

The Preserve The park remains open, however the top of the bluff and access to the beach are closed due to instability and the dangers that creates.
